Four archaeological treasure hunters arrested in Aralaganwila
Four suspects have been arrested for engaging in illegal excavation of artefacts in Aralaganwila yesterday (Jun 28), police said.
According to the Police, the suspects aged between 21- 31 had been arrested along with their equipment.
The suspects are residents of Trincomalee, Passara, Aralaganwila, and Elle Wewa.
They are due to be produced before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate's Court today.
