Four foreign nationals were taken into custody in the Avissawella and Grandpass areas for staying in the country without valid visas, Police said.
Among the arrested suspects were a Pakistani and a Bangaldeshi national who were arrested in Grandpass last afternoon upon a tip-off received by the Grandpass Police.
The suspects who have been identified as 24 and 25-year olds are due to be produced before the Hultsdorf Magistrates Courts today (Apr 03).
Meanwhile, two Nigerian nationals were also apprehended without valid visas in the Avissawella, Police noted.
The suspects who are of ages 26, and 31 will be produced before the Avissawella Magistrates court today.
