Four foreign nationals have been arrested for attempting to steal data of ATM card users in Bandaramulla yesterday (Oct 16), police said.
The suspects had been apprehended during an investigation carried out into a complaint alleging that they had installed a special apparatus on an ATM machine of a private bank in a bid to steal data.
Among the arrested individuals, were a Bulgarian national, an Estonian national, and two Polish nationals. They are due to be produced before the Matara magistrate's court today.
