Four individuals including Police Commission Secretary Saman Dissanayake have been further remanded until September 06 over the Avant-Garde illegal floating armoury case.
The order was issued when the suspects had been produced before Galle Additional Magistrate Pavithra Sanjeewani Pathirana for a hearing today (Aug 23).
Mr. Dissanayake who had been admitted at the Sri Jayawardenapura hospital when charges were filed against him had been produced before court.
Victor Samaraweera, Chairman of Rakna Lanka Company, Major General (Rtd) Piyasiri Fernando, and Major General (Rtd) K.B. Adhikari Egodawela are the other suspects in the case.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
