Four members have resigned from the committee which was appointed to make recommendations to transform state media into public service media institutions by former Mass Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
Professor Jayadeva Uyangoda, Anoma Rajakaruna, Kaushalya Fernando, and Attorney Sudarshana Gunawardena are the members who had resigned from the committee.
Vijayananda Jayaweera, Director (Retired) of the International Programme for the Development of Communication was appointed as the Chairman of the seven-member committee on February 11.
