Four Muslim ministers who collectively resigned from their ministerial portfolios recently were re-appointed to their previous positions today (Jul 29).
The resignations of the Muslim ministers last month came in the backdrop of mounting pressure alleging that certain Muslim politicians had links to the Easter Sunday bombings and the extremist elements behind it.

The re-appointed ministers are as follows :
Rauff Hakeem - Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education
Rishad Bathiudeen - Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons and Co-operative Development and Vocational Training & Skills Development
State Ministers
