The Free Media Movement (FMM) issuing press release has strongly condemned the attack journalists outside the premises of the Fort Magistrates Court today (Nov 28).
The release noted that Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne was convicted in 2016 over leading an attack and threatening a journalist covering a protest following which he had apologised to the victim before courts.
The FMM urgedrelevant stakeholders to conduct an investigation into the incident in order to protect the dignity of journalists.
