Fuel prices will be reduced from tonight, the Finance Ministry said in a press release today (Jul 10).
A litre of Octane 92 petrol will be reduced by Rs 02 while Octane 95 petrol and Super Diesel would be reduced by Rs 05 each, the Finance Ministry said.
However, the price of Auto Diesel will be remain unchanged, the Ministry noted.
Explaining the reason for the reduction in prices, the Ministry observed that the price of crude oil barrel in the world market had reduced to USD 65 after standing at USD 75 at the time of last month’s fuel price revision.
Prices of fuel are revised in accordance with the government’s fuel price formula on the 10th of every month,
