The Supreme Court today (Aug 5) announced that hearing of further witness statements in the case filed against State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake would continue tomorrow.
Court announced that the case would have to be postponed since one of the judges had to take part in another case. The case is being heard before Justices Prasanna Jayawardena and Vijith Malalgoda.
Mr. Ramanayake had not been present at court today as he had to sit for the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.
Meanwhile, a journalist at a private telivision channel is due to provide witness over the case tomorrow.
Ven. Magalkande Sudantha Thera and R.Sunil Perera, a civil rights activist, had filed a petition against the State Minister at the Supreme Court.
