Government certificates for the GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advanced Level (A/L) exams could be collected from the main post offices in the country from June 06, Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.
Generally, candidates are required to obtain these certificates after visiting the Department of Examinations. "Around 2000 people visit the Department to collect the certificates daily," the Education Minister said.
Officials at the respective post offices will be granted access to a computerised system which would link the Examinations Department. Accordingly, those in need of the certificates will have to provide the relevant details to the post office.
The certificates would then be printed and handed over to the candidates, Minister Kariyawasam said.
