The G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination for this year will be held from March 1 to 11 next year (2021), Education Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris said.
“Though it was planned to be held from January 18 to 27 (2021), the decision to postpone to March was made following extensive discussions with parents, education and health authorities,” the Minister said.
“There are about 5,000 examination centres and we have to ensure all examination centres are equipped with health and hygiene facilities with Personal Protective Equipment distributed. Financial allocations have already been made for this purpose,” he said.
O/L examination is usually held in December. But due to the COVID situation in the country it was postponed to January.
