Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) leader and UPFA parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila sought permission from the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court to travel overseas.
Gammanpila said he needed to travel to India for a seminar. However, Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne said it was not possible for her to make a decision in this regard and asked that the matter be taken up at the High Court.
