Gazette on ministerial subjects to be amended

News

The government has decided to amend the gazette outlining the ministerial subjects of the new Cabinet Ministers in near future.

Accordingly, several key ministerial subjects that fell under the purview of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be transferred to another Minister.

Reportedly, Minister Lakshman Kiriella is tipped to receive state banks and the state plantation industry under his list of subjects.

Further, several departments that were brought under the Ministry of Mass Media and Finance are also expected to be transferred.
