Venerable Galagodaththe Gnanasara thera was again transferred from the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital to the Welikada Prisons Hospital, local media reported.
The thera who was admitted on Thursday for post-surgery treatment, was transferred to the Welikada hospital this afternoon.
The thera, who is currently serving a 6-year prison sentence, was admitted to the Prisons Hospital on August 30, after undergoing surgery at the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital.
Galagodaththe Gnanasara thera was convicted on four charges of Contempt of Court and was sentenced to a 19 year rigorous imprisonment, to be completed in 6 years.
