Gnanasara Thero, three others ordered to appear before Appeal Court on Nov 8
The Appeal Court today (Oct 21) issued notice on three persons including Ven Gnanasara Thero to appear before court on November 8 for violating a court order.
The order was issued after considering a complaint filed by Mullaitivu district Parliamentarian Shanthi Sriskantharajah.
Sriskantharajah had filed a complaint alleging that the accused had violated a court order issued against conducting the final rites of the Gurukanda Rajamaha Viharaja priest at the temple.
The case is being heard before justices Yasantha Kodagoda and Arjuna Obeysekere.
