Former defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa who left the Bribery commission this morning after giving a statement, is reported to have arrived at the Welikada Prison. Presumably to visit his brother Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa who was transferred to the Prison Hospital last night.
The former Minister was remanded for 14 days yesterday by the Kaduwela Magistrate over misappropriation of Divineguma funds.
Rajapaksa's lawyers told the Magistrate yesterday that Rajapaksa required medical observation due to his health condition.
