Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has taken initial measures to renounce his citizenship in the United States, MP Wimal Weerawangsa said yesterday (Jan 18).
Addressing the media in Kalutara, he said that the right candidate would come forward when the Presidential election is announced.
"Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has already revealed that he is ready to contest the Presidential elections" MP Weerawangsa quipped.
