Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa arrived at the Special High Court for a case regarding funding of the DA Rajapaksa museum.
A case was filed against him over the alleged misappropriation of state funds when building the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum.
The Attorney General’s Department filed the indictments on August 24 based on the investigation carried out by theFinancial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).
The seven defendants named in the case including the former Defence Secretary are charged with misuse of state funds amounting to Rs 49 million when constructing the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum and Memorial in Medamulana.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
