Former defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa who arrived at the Bribery Commission this morning to give a statement left the premises at around 1pm.
Rajapaksa was summoned to the commission on April 23 over the cases regarding Avant-Garde Security Services and Rakna Lanka Araksha Limited.
Meanwhile, the JVP last week filed a case at the Bribery Commission against Rajapaksa and three others on alleged financial fraud during the 2013 Deyata Kirula Exhibition at Ampara.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
