Former defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa who arrived at the Bribery Commission this morning to give a statement left the premises at around 1pm. Rajapaksa was summoned to the commission on April 23 over the cases regarding Avant-Garde Security Services and Rakna Lanka Araksha Limited. Meanwhile, the JVP last week filed a case at the Bribery Commission against Rajapaksa and three others on alleged financial fraud during the 2013 Deyata Kirula Exhibition at Ampara.
