The Appeal Court today (May 21) announced that the revision petition filed by former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on the D.A. Rajapaksa museum case will be taken up for hearing on May 30.
Mr. Rajapaksa had filed the petition against the Special High Court's decision to reject his preliminary objections citing its jurisdiction to hear the misappropriation case.
The petition is being heard before Justices Arjuna Obeysekara and Achala Vengappulli at the Court of Appeal.
Mr Rajapaksa has been accused of misappropriating state funds upto Rs 33.9 million in the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa memorial museum.
