Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will release separate manifestos for each province, apart from his main manifesto which will be released tomorrow (Oct 25).
Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Acting Chairman Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said the manifestos for each province will revolve around matters concerning tourism, employment, investment and development.
Rajapaksa, who has been nominated by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna as its candidate, is supported by mainstream political parties such as the SLFP and other parties belonging to the United People's Freedom Alliance.
His manifesto will be revealed at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre in Colombo tomorrow.
The SLFP Acting Chairman said that the manifesto will be centred around 20 main areas including economy, health, agriculture, security, financial security, and education.
He noted that a key promise would be to ensure that all students who pass the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination will be granted an opportunity to pursue university education. Another pledge would be to regulate pre-sechool education, he said.
Prof. Piyadasa stated that the manifesto will also vow to set-up assembly plants in the country.
