The government has declared the week between June 12 - 18 as the Poson Week in line with the Poson festival.
During this time period, the Buddhist flag will be hoisted across all state institutions while buildings too would be decorated, the Internal and Home Affairs Ministry said.
Meanwhile, special religious rituals will also take place from tomorrow (June 13) onwards across all District and Divisional Secretariat offices, the Ministry noted in a circular.
Beef shops and liquor stores in the country will also be closed during the Poson Week, the circular reads.
