The government had planned to provide relief for the people who were affected by violent incidents in Digana, Teldeniya areas in Kandy district, Co Cabinet Spokesman Dr Rijitha Senaratne said today.
He said the decisions was taken to provide Rs 500,000 to the next of kin of each deceased person and pay up to Rs 250,000 maximum amount of compensation for injured people based on Government Medical Reports.
The Proposal was made by Minister of Prions Reforms Rehabilitation and Hindu Religious Affairs , D.M Swaminathan.
