"The 'sena' worm has not affected plantation crops as of yet," Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake said while responding to questions by reporters following the opening of the first ever dessicated coconut factory in Anuradhapura.
He explained that the worm has been affecting crops in the dry zones and has not affected the crops in the wet zone yet.
"However, I am aware of the effect that it could have on crops especially for coconut and rubber," Minister Dissanayake said.
