The results of this years Grade Five Scholarship examination have been released, Examinations Department Commissioner Sanath Pujitha said.
Issuing a statement, the Department noted that district and islandwide rankings will not be issued this year, after the Education Ministry issued orders to that effect citing mental stress on students.
The results could be obtained on www.doenets.lk and www.results.exams.gov.lk by entering the correct index number of the student.
The Examinations Department observed that 20,000 students had passed the exam this year - an increase of 5000 when compared to last year. Among them were 250 differently-abled children.
Schools in the Colombo and Sri Jayawardenapura educational zones can obtain the results sheets of their students from the Examinations Department after 9 am tomorrow. The results of other schools will be sent through post, the Department said.
Students seeking a re-scrutiny of their results will be able to do so by applying through their schools before October 21.
