Haldummulla Divisional Secretary arrested for assaulting staffer
The Haldummulla Divisional Secretary has been arrested over charges of illegal entry and assaulting a person, police said today (Jun 21).
According to the police, the state official had forcefully entered the residence of the victim at 3 am today and had assaulted him.
The victim has been admitted to the hospital. He has been identified as an employee at the Haldummulla Divisional Secretariat.
