Hambantota schools hit by principal and teacher strike

Schools in the Hambantota district has been hit hard by the trade union action initiated by teachers and principals today (4). 

Students who were unaware of the TU action and who turned up in school this morning, had to go back home after finding out that teachers had not come. 

Only a few schools had enough teachers to continue working as normal.
