Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne has issued a gazette to impose a celing on the purchase price of blood sugar monintors and the accessory strips used in the device to measure the blood sugar levels of diabetic patients.
According to the gazette dated March 15, the cost of a blood glucose monitoring machine will be priced at Rs 3,150.
Further, the test strips which are used with the device would be priced at Rs 57 per strip.
