Heat weather advisory issued to three provinces today
A weather advisory on the recent heat wave has been issued by the Meteorological Department to the Northern, North Central, and Wayamba provinces today (Mar 11).
The Disaster Managment Centre said that extreme heat could be experienced across several areas in the said provinces throughout the day.
The heat weather advisory while noting that individuals could be affected due to the heat advised that precautionery measures be taken.
