Heavy traffic has been reported around Town Hall and Nelum Pokuna owing to a protest march carried out by university students.
The protesters demanded a retrieval of the suspension sentence imposed on certain students thereby preventing them from attending classes.
Accordingly, police have requested the public to use alternative routes while travelling.
