Air Force helicopters have been deployed to contain the fire which broke out at a private clothing shop in Pelwatta this morning.
It is reported that the helicopters have been deployed to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings in the vicinity.
The Fire Brigade has also dispatched three units from Colombo and Kotte to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
