Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and IGP Pujith Jayasundara who is interdiction were released on bail today on a directive by the Colombo High Court .
They were charged for failing to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks despite the availability of intelligence information in advance.
The order was given when they were produced before the Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.
The Magistrate read out the bail order of Colombo High Court.
They were released on two cash bails of Rs. 250,000 and two personal bails of Rs. 2.5 million each.
They were ordered not to leave the country.
The next hearing of the case was fixed for May 06.
