Police have arrested a 39-year-old man on charges of murdering his wife Dawson Street, Slave Island last night.
The 53-year-old victim had allegedly been beaten to death. Police say the suspect had allegedly attacked his wife following a family dispute.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Colombo Magistrate's Court. Slave Island police are investigating.
