ICEU to protest demanding wage hike of Rs 10,000 for private sector employees

The Inter Company Employees Union (ICEU) will organise a protest at 12 noon opposite the Fort Railway Station today (Feb 05) demanding a wage increase of Rs 10,000 for private sector employees.

The protest will be held demanding that a budgetary stipulation be incorporated in this year's budget to this effect.

ICEU Chairman Wasantha Samarasinghe and several other leaders in the union will take part in this protest that will be carried out in the form of a bicycle parade.
