Measures will be taken to remove all illegal constructions in three districts in the Western Province, Governor Azath Salley said yesterday (Jan 27).\
"Illegal constructions are the main reason behind the flooding of roads in several areas of the Western Province" he claimed.
Mr. Salley emphasised that the law will be enforced on individuals who paste posters and advertisments in unpermitted places.
He added that he has held talks with representatives of the Western Provincial Council and will also be releasing a circular to this effect.
Meanwhile, Central Province Governor Maithree Gunaratne has also said that those who paste posters or adverts in famous places will be produced before the law.
