Bank of Ceylon Employees' Union yesterday staged a protest in front of the Bank of Ceylon Head Office in Colombo, demanding the government to limit the training period of trainees to two years without extending it.
The protestors said that earlier they had discussions with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on the government policy of two year training program for new intakes to the bank and the Prime Minister had promised the government will stick to the policy.
