Health sector staff around the country cast their postal votes today (13) for the 2020 Parliamentary Election. Accordingly, healt sector staff at 12 Medical Officer of Health (MoH) offices in Puttalam district voted today in line with health and social distancing guidelines issued to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Puttalam District Returning Officer Chandrasiri Bandara stated that 14, 267 persons in the Puttalam District are eligible to cast their postal votes at this year's election. He added that police protection has been given to all polling stations where postal votes are being cast.
