Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the St Anthony's Shrine in Kochchikade during his visit to Sri Lanka today (Jun 9).
In attendance during the visit was Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Minister Sajith Premadasa, and Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
Indian High Commissioner Taranjit Singh Sandhu was also among the officials who joined Prime Minister Modi on his visit to St. Anthony's Church.
The Church was one of the main targets of the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks. Accordingly, Mr. Modi payed a floral tribute in memory of those who lost their lives in the bombings.
