In Pictures: Samples collected in Dematagoda for PCR tests
A group of residents of Mihindu Senpura Housing Scheme in Dematagoda had samples taken from them today (7) for PCR testing to check whether any were infected with COVID-19.
Health authorities took 80 random samples of persons from the housing scheme for PCR testing. Authorities also took blood samples from the same individuals to check their antibody status as part of an ongoing research into COVID-19 spearheaded by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Samples taken from all 80 residents from this housing scheme today have tested negative for COVID-19, it was confirmed this evening.
