In pictures: Protest against illegal fishing methods

Fishermens' associations held a protest near Town Hall in Colombo today to demand an end to illegal and distructive fishing practices. 

They pointed out that the continued use of such methods were destroying the country's fishing resources and were also severely affecting their livelihoods.
