Voting for the 2020 parliamentary election is now underway. Voting got underway at 7.00am today and will conclude at 5.00pm.
Voting is taking place adhering to COVID-19 prevention health guidelines and under tight security.
Long lines of voters were seen at some polling stations from 7.00am itself.

Following is the percentage of voter turnout as at 10am: Colombo 27%, Kalutara 20%, Matale 25%, Matara 22%, Kegalle 25%, Trincomalee 30%, Ratnapura 24%, Galle 20%, Puttalam 16%, Nuwara Eliya 25%, Jaffna 20%, Batticaloa 16%, Kandy 25%, Badulla 25, Hambantota 24%, Polonnaruwa 25%, Gampaha 18% and Kurunegala 25%.
