Indian Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat, who is on an official visit to the island, took part in a pooja at the Koneswaram Temple in Trincomalee today.
He was greeted at the temple's entrance by Eastern Province Commander, Major General Santhusitha Pannawala, 221 Brigade Commander, Brigadiar Sumith Premalal and other senior army officers from the area.
After taking part in the pooja, the Indian Army Chief also visited other temples within the Koneswaram complex and was also presented with a memento by the temple's chief priest to mark his visit.
