Interim injunction issued against gazette on LG bodies

The Court of Appeal today issued an interim injunction  preventing the implementation of the gazette notification on the delimitation of Local Government Councils till December 4. 

The interim injunction was issued following the hearing of a petition filed againt the delimitation of LG bodies. 

The petition was taken up on November 16 before a three judge bench and the court's decision was announced today.
