Interviews for the post of executioner which were to be held today (Mar 27) and tomorrow have been further postponed by the Prisons Department.
The decision to postpone the interview was made since certain applicants had not received their letters notifying them to appear for the interview.
A total of 79 individuals have been selected for the interview out of 102 applications which were received for the said post.
Two individuals are expected to be recruited as executioners following the conclusion of the interviews.
