The investigations involving the recent brawls that took place in Parliament have handed over to the CID, according to informed sources.
Accordingly, the CID will probe into the unruly scenes that were witnessed in Parliament such as the attack on police officers, throwing of chillie powder and damaging of public property.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the CID is carrying out investigations over the fake letter addressed to the Chief Justice which allegedly carried a fake signature of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.
