The Japanese Foreign Affairs Ministry issuing a press release noted that Japan is following with close attention and interest the recent developments in Sri Lanka, including the dissolution of the parliament.
"Japan hopes that the stability in Sri Lanka will continue to be ensured through due process in accordance with the law", the release issued by the Press Secretary Takeshi Osuga said.
