Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi arrived in the island last evening (Dec 12) to begin an official two-day visit.
The foreign minister was accompanied by a 21 member delegation. He is due to call on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and his Sri Lankan Counterpart Dinesh Gunawardena during his visit.
The Foreign Minister delegation arrived on SriLankan Airlines UL-455 flight from Narita, Japan, and arrived at the Katunayake airport at 6.04 pm yesterday (Dec 12).
Officials of the Japanese High Commission in Sri Lanka, along with officials of the Ministry of External Affairs of Sri Lanka were also present to receive the delegation.
