Two Japanese naval ships, "JMSDF Inazuma" and "JMSDF Suzutsuki", arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill and replenishment visit yesterday. They were welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on arrival.
Prior to their departure today, the visiting Japanese ships are due to conduct a Passage Exercise with SLN craft with a view to sharing professional expertise and strengthening camaraderie between the two friendly navies.
Meanwhile the Royal Omani Navy Ship “Khassab” too arrived at the Port of Colombo yesterday on a replenishment visit. The ship was ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on her arrival. The ship is scheduled to leave Sri Lanka on July 27.
