A new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tea Board has been appointed, Jayampathi Molligoda.
Mr Molligoda was the former Deputy Chairman of the Bogawantalawa Tea Estate PLC.
He is also a Board Member of Metropolitan Resources Holdings Limited and a graduate of the Postgraduate Institute of Management.
Ishara Sewwandi, the main suspect wanted for the shooting inside the Aluthkade No.05 Magistrate’s Court premises which killed alleged underworld figure ’’Ganemulla Sanjeewa,’’ has been arrested in Nepal.
