The Colombo Chief Magistrate temporarily removed overseas travel restrictions imposed on former Co-operatives and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando.
The former minister's passport was released to allow him to travel to Singapore from Nov 14 to 18.
His passport was impounded after five cases were filed against him by the Bribery Commission, over non-declaration of assets and liabilities between 2010 -2014.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
